Rachel Concho Acoma Pueblo Pottery

When Rachel Concho made these pots in June of 2001 (the date is marked on the bottom of the 2nd pot).
Mrs. Concho at that time was in her late sixties (she was born in 1936) and was at the top of her game.
A rare feat indeed, considering she had been working at such an exacting art for over 40 years.

Rachel Concho had long been considered one of Acoma's (indeed, the world's) finest potters.

And, as if to prove the point, she won "Best In Show" just 6 months earlier at the
2000 Santa Fe Indian Market. The most prestigeous show of them all.

Rachel Concho's work is artistic, balanced  and exacting.

These seed bowls pictured clearly indicate her great talent. The bowls themselves are perfectly
made... the patterns are exact, there is not an error or line out of place.

Rachel Concho has won numerous awards at major shows including 1st places at
Santa Fe Indian Market and Gallup Ceremonials. Her work is featured in many books
including, "Southwestern Pottery Anasazi to Zuni"

She is the sister of Joseph Cerno.

"Butterflies and Flowers in Polychrome"

New

Here is an incredible Seed Bowl. Simply viewing the design is mind boggling... imagine perfectly
executing this pot in 3 dimensions. A large seed bowl measuring about 3 1/2" tall and 3 1/2" in diameter.

I do not expect to see another like this one.

A spectacular work of the potters art in new condition.
